Meet Miriah! Miriah has worked in Accounting & Purchasing at VATA since 2015.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I like the variety and purchasing things when they’re hard to get…supply chain issues have made this even more of a challenge.

In your opinion, how is VATA different?

The products we make are different. Together we’re manufacturing these medical models to help students and doctors. It’s nice to know we’re helping make a difference.

What is your favorite product?

The ones that are made out of things I can get ahold of!

What is your favorite holiday tradition?

My mom is 93 so getting all my siblings together to celebrate is pretty precious.

Meet Sue! Sue has been on VATA’s team for over 12 years!

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I am an artist and I love to paint, my husband is also an artist and he loves to paint too. I’m kind of like the mom here. I do training, and I look after people. It’s a joy working down here and I get along so well with everyone. It’s a nice atmosphere. It started with Tom, but now it’s Andrew and it’s been a joy to watch the company blossom.

In your opinion, how is VATA different?

It’s very personable. I appreciate the job so much and I appreciate the sacrifice that goes into running a small business, this is really a team for me.

What is your favorite product?

Vinnie Leg is my favorite. There are wounds on there that produce that emotion and the feeling of pain. I really have so much fun doing this leg. They are beautiful when they’re done.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?

I play flute and piano and I love to take my flute and Christmas songbooks out to the kitchen and play.

 

Meet AJ!

AJ is part of VATA’s production team and has been with the company since spring 2022.

AJ enjoys making parts that are used for medical trainings and enjoys the family-owned business environment at VATA. His favorite VATA products to work on are ultrasound models.

“Everyone works well together and it’s a really organized system,” AJ said.
