Welcoming Matt Fisher
Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the VATA team, Product Design Engineer Matt Fisher!
Matt joined us this summer and was drawn to VATA by the opportunity to work more hands-on with product development at a local Oregon manufacturer. Knowing the products he develops help teachers and students learn and practice gives him a real sense of pride in his work.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Arizona University and gained experience in solar manufacturing, technical support, and 3D scanning and reverse engineering.
Outside of work, Matt’s ideal day includes exploring Portland with a hike at Mount Tabor, a stop at a record or secondhand store, and grabbing a bite from a local food cart.

Team Spotlight: Marciano’s 20th VATA-versary!
Twenty years ago, Marciano joined the VATA team. Since then, he has helped create the products that support healthcare education and simulation training around the world.
What was your first job at VATA? What is your job today?
My first job at VATA was as a painter. Today, my job involves painting and producing many different products.
What are you most proud of from your 20 years at VATA?
Painting and producing products that help universities and other organizations teach healthcare concepts and illnesses makes me proud.
What do you enjoy most about working at VATA?
Working as a team.
